How Clean & Sorted works: from instant price to completed clean
Clean & Sorted was designed to remove the calls, quote chasing and uncertain arrangements that often make booking a cleaner harder than it needs to be. Here is what happens at each stage and what the customer, cleaner and platform are responsible for.
Key points
- The customer sees a price before entering payment details.
- The platform assigns a suitable vetted cleaner; customers do not select from a marketplace.
- Card details are handled securely by Stripe and are never shown to cleaners.
- Recurring cleans can be skipped, paused, rescheduled or changed by magic link.
1. Get an instant cleaning price
The booking calculator uses the property type, bedroom and bathroom count, frequency, clean length, pets and selected extras. It shows the price before the customer commits to a slot or enters card details.
This is intended to give customers a clear figure without waiting for a callback. Unusual properties or specialist work may still need support before a suitable booking can be confirmed.
2. Choose a date and available time window
Available windows are based on cleaner availability and postcode coverage. The customer selects the date and preferred window, then adds practical information such as parking, access and priorities for the clean.
3. A cleaner is assigned automatically
Clean & Sorted considers active status, document compliance, postcode coverage, availability, service experience, rating, reliability, travel and capacity. The aim is to assign the strongest practical match rather than asking the customer to compare individual cleaner profiles.
The assigned cleaner receives the job details needed to carry out the work. They do not see the customer's card information.
4. Payment and reminders
Stripe securely saves the payment method during booking. For scheduled cleans, the current process normally takes payment on the morning of the clean before the cleaner arrives. If a clean cannot go ahead, the operations team can review the booking and arrange the appropriate resolution or refund.
Confirmation and reminder messages keep both sides informed, while the customer portal provides a single place to manage changes.
5. Start, finish and follow-up
The cleaner uses the mobile portal to start and finish the job, work through the checklist, upload photos where appropriate and report access or timing problems. After completion, the customer can leave feedback or ask support for help.
Recurring plans then move on to the next scheduled clean, subject to any skip, pause or frequency changes made by the customer.
