Cleaner applicant FAQ
How much will I be paid?
Launch rates usually start from £15 per hour. Your final contractor rate is confirmed during onboarding and may depend on experience, services offered and travel area.
Do I need public liability insurance?
Yes, public liability insurance is required before you can receive customer jobs. You can still apply first and complete the insurance step during follow-up.
Do I have to be self-employed?
You need to apply either as self-employed or through your own limited company. Clean & Sorted provides bookings and manages the platform, but cleaners are not employees.
Can I choose where and when I work?
Yes. You set your availability and preferred postcode areas. You can update availability later from the cleaner portal as things change.
Do I need to quote customers or collect payment?
No. Clean & Sorted handles customer pricing, booking, payment collection, reminders and support. Cleaner payment is handled after completed approved jobs.
What documents are needed?
We ask for a selfie during the initial application. ID, proof of address, insurance and bank details are collected after submission as further account details.
